Am I guaranteed prescription medicine when I am a patient?
No, our doctors only prescribe pain medication if it fits your treatment plan and is necessary for your health.
How long does the relief from injection procedures last?
The duration of relief varies depending on the underlying condition. Individual responses can differ significantly.
How many injections does it take to get relief?
Most injections are performed in a series of three, spaced two weeks apart. Patients are evaluated after the second injection to determine if a third is needed.
What do I need to do before my procedure?
Wear loose, comfortable clothing and inform your physician if you are taking any blood thinners. Continue taking your other medications as usual.
What should I do if I take blood thinners?
If you take blood thinners like Coumadin, Plavix, or Aspirin, please inform your physician before scheduling your procedure for specific instructions.
Can I drive after my procedure?
It is recommended that you do not drive after your injection procedure. You must have another adult drive you if you undergo IV sedation or any procedure that may cause numbness or weakness in your legs.
Is the injection going to hurt?
Local anesthesia is provided to numb the skin before needle placement, making most procedures well-tolerated with minimal discomfort.
Can I take my medications before the procedure?
Aside from blood thinners, you should continue taking all your other medications as scheduled.
